Sensei Ken Almond – 6th Dan (Rokku) Black Belt

• Started training and competing Judo in 1968 in Calgary
• Moved to Port Moody in 1974 started training karate with Sensei Gary Johnson
• Moved to Abbotsford for college in 1978 and trained full contact kickboxing for 6 years
• Moved back to Port Moody area in 1984 and resumed training karate in the Port Moody dojo
• In 2006 started instructing at Ridge Meadows Karate changing  the dojo name to Ridge Meadows Shotokan Karate
